Magickal Inks

Dragon’s Blood Ink
1 part Dragon’s Blood resin
1 part Gum Arabic
15 parts Alcohol

Grind resin and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add ground Gun Arabic, filter, and bottle.

Dove’s Blood Ink
1 part Dragon’s Blood resin
1 part Gum Arabic
2 parts Bay Essential Oil
2 parts Cinnamon Essential Oil
2 parts Rose Essential Oil

Grind resin and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add essential oils and Gum Arabic, filter, and bottle.

Bat’s Blood Ink
2 parts Dragon’s Blood resin
½ part Myrrh resin
½ part Gum Arabic
12 parts Alcohol
2 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil
2 drops Indigo Color

Grind resins and steep in alcohol until dissolved. Add Gum Arabic, Cinnamon Essential Oil, and Indigo Color, filter, and bottle.

These Inks are for short term use and should be stored dark brown bottles. To test the colors, when the inks are steeping, take a toothpick, dip it in the ink, and test it on a piece of paper. Let dry. If it’s too light for your liking, let it steep longer. It can take a few days for it to steep to a darker ink.
