Balance Your Chakras With Food

One of the ways to help balance your chakras is to eat a balanced diets. Foods, especially those that matching colors with the chakras, have vibrations that can activate and balance that chakra.


Muladhara, 1st chakra

The root chakra, located at the base of the spine is responsible for your grounding and survival in the world. If you are feeling run down, fatigued, burnt out, lazy, or lethargic, some food that can stimulate the base chakra are:

  • Apples
  • Bean
  • Beets
  • Carrots
  • Cherry
  • Chili
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Pepper
  • Pomegranate
  • Potato
  • Radish
  • Raspberry
  • Spinach
  • Strawberry

Svadhisthana, 2nd Chakra

The Sacral Chakra, located a few inches below the navel, is associated with sexuality, reproduction, and creativity. If you are low on confidence, doubting yourself, or feeling unworthy of love, some foods that stimulate the second chakra are:

  • Bread and butter
  • Chocolate
  • Coconut
  • Honey
  • Mandarin
  • Mango
  • Melon
  • Milk
  • Nuts

Manipura, 3rd Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra, located at about the level of your belly button, is your center of willpower and self-esteem. If you are feeling depressed, sad, or emotional, some foods that stimulate the third chakra are:

Anahata, 4th Chakra

The Heart Chakra, located at the center of your heart, connects you to the vibrations of love, security, kindness, and compassion. Feeling low on energy, stressed, overworked, or experiencing adrenal fatigue, acidity, or toxicity? Some foods that stimulate the fourth chakra are:

Ajna, 6th Chakra

The Brow Chakra, located at the level of your eyebrows in the center of your forehead, governs imagination, bright ideas, visualization and intuition, 6th sense or clairvoyance. Feeling frustrated, angry, or unable to forgive? Some foods that stimulate the sixth chakra are:

Sahasrara, 7th Chakra

The Crown Chakra, located at the highest point in your body at the top of the head, governs the consciousness of spiritual awakening, inner wisdom and enlightenment. Feeling defeated or down on yourself? There are no special foods for the Crown Chakra. It’s food is simple prayer and meditation. The vibrations of this chakra often prefer no food at all. To maintain and energize your crown chakra, consider some of these options:

  • Detox or fast
  • Drinking Plenty of water
  • Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Meditation and prayer
